Essex County Bar Association Advocates, Inc. (ECBAA) is a non-profit organization that administers criminal defense services for indigent clients accused of crimes in Essex County. ECBAA manages a panel of nearly 166 private attorneys who handle 90% of these cases.
ECBAA administers this program for the Committee for Public Counsel Services, the state agency that oversees indigent criminal defense in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
